Located adjacent to the historic Tallman Hotel on Main Street in Upper Lake, California, the Blue Wing Saloon and Cafe is a recreation of the town’s original saloon built in the 1880s and demolished during Prohibition.  The redwood- paneled interior is complete with an ornate Eastlake Style backbar and the exterior includes a comfortable veranda and garden seating.

Our General Manager Travis Lipscomb and Food and Beverage Director Teresa Cook have many years experience in putting together SPECIAL EVENTS on site and catering off site events from small plates to full sit-down dinners.  Click here for more info.

Meet the Winemaker Series

On the FIRST SATURDAY of each month, The Blue Wing Saloon plays host to the owner and/or winemaker of one of the great Lake County wineries whose vintages are featured on our list.  Our regular menu is available, but Chef Mark Linback creates a multi-course special menu designed to pair well with a flight of the featured wines of the evening.  Reservations are suggested.

Our next Winemaker's event will be Saturday, March 6 and will feature local winemaker Brad Terrill of Terrill Cellars in Lower Lake.  Brad is also proprietor of the attactive Tuscan Village (shown above) which houses his tasting room and other retail outlets.

Blue Wing Monday Blues

Sunday Brunch

Enjoy our popular Champagne Brunch on Sundays from 10:30 to 3:00.  During good weather from May through early November we invite local musicians to play for our garden seating from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. When the weather gets cold, the music moves inside to the intimate Saloon setting.  Upcoming brunch music schedule. 

2010 Concerts with Conversation

The Tallman Hotel is happy to announce its 2010 series of Concerts with Conversation on the last Saturday of the month from January through May.  As in previous years, the Hotel will donate 10% of the gross proceeds of this series to the Soper-Reese Theater Fund for the construction of a state of the art performing arts center in Lakeport.   

Concerts start at 7:30 are held in the intimte Riffe's Meeting House next to the Hotel Seating is limited to 45.  Tickets for the concerts are $25 and entitle the holder to a 10% discount on a pre-concert dinner at the Blue Wing Saloon & Cafe.  Coffee and cookies are served at the concert.  Call the Hotel at 707-275-2245 for more information.

Sat, April 24 -   Oboe virtuoso Paul McCandless with pianist John R. Burr. 

Sat, May 22 -   Woodwind ensemble Quintessential featuring Beth Aiken, Ann Hubbard, Paul Hadley, Becky Ayres and Eric Van Dyke. 

In February 2010, after two years of great service to the Blue Wing, Chef Mark Linback has departed to pursue opportunities elsewhere.  Although we will continue with the fine cuisine he established, all of us at the Blue Wing will miss Mark and we wish him well.
